Movies are like a machine that generates empathy. It lets you understand a little bit more about different hopes, aspirations, dreams and fears. It helps us to identify with the people who are sharing this journey with us.”

Both DEFENDER and THE RIDE have been on the road and finding success on the festival circuit this fall.

THE RIDE picked up two awards beginning right here in our backyard with the 2017 Spirit of Bernal Award at the Bernal Heights Outdoor Cinema Festival in San Francisco (an honor TOUCHING THE UNTOUCHABLE won two years ago).  It then traveled to the International Black Film Festival of Nashville where it was awarded Best Short Documentary.

Meanwhile DEFENDER crossed the country to Vermont for the International Television Festival where is won Best Documentary and is being developed as a potential mini-series.
